Here's a list of upcoming places I'll be speaking or teaching:
Because of the pandemic, I did quite a few virtual talks over the last couple of years. More recently, I've spoken in person to people who also show up in person. Future talks are listed here.
-- At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, I'll be speaking (with Yvette Walker, KC Star editorial page editor) at First Presbyterian Church of Liberty, Mo., on "Democracy: Use it or Lose It."
-- At 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, I'll be speaking (with Yvette Walker, KC Star editorial page editor) at Parkville Presbyterian Church on "Democracy: Use it or Lose It." I'll also be preaching there that morning.
-- At noon on Sunday, Oct. 20, I'll be speaking (with Yvette Walker, KC Star editorial page editor) at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, on "Democracy: Use it or Lose It."
-- At 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, I'll be speaking to the "Faith Conversations" class at Curé of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, Kan., about religious nationalism.
-- At noon CDT each Thursday, I help lead a Bible study that meets both via Zoom and at San Francisco Tower at Crown Center in Kansas City. If you're interested in joining us, email me at [email protected].
If you are interested in having me speak to your group, e-mail me details and let's see what we can work out. In addition to any subject I write about, I can speak about essay and/or opinion writing, blog writing or any subject relating to the seven books I've authored or co-authored.
