Here's a list of upcoming places I'll be speaking or teaching:
-- At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, I'll be introducing my new book to a virtual audience through the Kansas City Public Library's YouTube account. You can register for this free event here. The book is Love, Loss and Endurance: A 9/11 Story of Resilience and Hope in an Age of Anxiety. (The link on the book's name will take you to its Amazon page. This link will take you to its page on Rainy Day Books' website.) The book describes the trauma in my extended family because of the murder of my nephew in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, then explores how people get drawn into radical thinking that can lead to violence and what we can do about it. I hope you'll join me the 19th. And let others know, too, by sharing this, please.
-- At noon on Thursday, Jan. 28, I'll be speaking via Zoom to the Downtown Rotary Club of Kansas City about my new book.
-- At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, I'll be speaking virtually to the faculty of Central Baptist Theological Seminary.
-- At noon on Wednesday, Feb. 17, I'll be speaking virtually to the Rotary Club of Fulton, Mo.
-- At 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, I'll be speaking virtually about my new book to the congregation of Temple Israel of Greater Kansas City.
-- At 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, I'll be speaking via Zoom to the Retired Clergy of All Faiths of KC about my new book.
If you are interested in having me speak to your group, e-mail me details at firstname.lastname@example.org and let's see what we can work out. In addition to any subject I write about, I can speak about essay and/or opinion writing, blog writing or any subject relating to the six books I've authored or co-authored.
