Here's a list of upcoming places I'll be speaking or teaching:
Because of the pandemic, some of my upcoming talks will continue to be virtual. But I'm slowly moving back to some live talks. Stay tuned.
-- On Tuesday, Sept. 7, I'll be speaking at noon to the Kansas City branch of Faith and Grief at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie, Village, Kan., as Americans prepare to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorists attacks in which the son one of my sisters and her husband perished on the first plane to strike the World Trade Center.
-- On Tuesday, Sept. 14, I'll be speaking virtually to the Green Valley Branch of American Association of University Women in Tucson, Ariz., about journalism and about my new book, Love, Loss and Endurance: A 9/11 Story of Resilience and Hope in an Age of Anxiety.
-- On Sunday morning, Sept. 19, I will be preaching (live) at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, Ill., and then leading an adult education class focused on my new book, Love, Loss and Endurance: A 9/11 Story of Resilience and Hope in an Age of Anxiety.
-- At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 8, 15, 22 and 29, I'll be speaking to an adult class at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kan., on this subject: "9/11 and 1/6: What these terrorist attacks have taught us about responding to extremism." I will be drawing on my new book, Love, Loss and Endurance: A 9/11 Story of Resilience and Hope in an Age of Anxiety.
If you are interested in having me speak to your group, e-mail me details at email@example.com and let's see what we can work out. In addition to any subject I write about, I can speak about essay and/or opinion writing, blog writing or any subject relating to the six books I've authored or co-authored.
